Besides being the biggest hazelnut producer in the world, Turkey is the biggest exporter of hazelnut as well. In Turkey's hazelnut export the EU countries have the biggest share, which continuously rises parallel to the increase of Turkey's total hazelnut export.

The share of the EU countries in Turkey's hazelnut export is approximately on a 80-85 % level, which varies from year to year. According to the recent reports today Turkey exports hazelnut to over 80 countries.
